DIFFERENT BODY PARTS

Each body part surgery requires different visualizations and the project worked closely with surgeons to gain such understanding.

ISO SURFACE RENDERING

Using volume rendering with threshold transfer function lead to view of the surfaces and ability to match between the imaging and the real body.

SUPERPOSITION

With manipulation tool set the surgeon can place the holographic body part on the real patient and adjust the transformation of the hologram in the world coordinate system.

SLICE THE HOLOGRAM

3D work space which allows the surgeon to operate the needed data himself with hand gestures, and ability to look into the hologram with slice in 3 dimensions.

SEE THROUGH TISSUE

Using volume rendering with accumulating transfer function lead to "Transparent patient" where the surgeon can see vessels inside a tissue and plan the surgery accordingly.

MADE IN COLLABORATION OF:

The project was developed in Microsoft Garage Israel as part of project in computer graphics at the Technion with collaboration of Beilinson hospital.
